My response to every headline now, “of course they/he did”.
That being said, I’m okay. Doing okay. I got new eyes this month! First the left then the right. I’m realizing that modern day aging is in part all about becoming somewhat bionic. I have had hand surgeries, knee injections and surgery, two heart procedures, I wear hearing aids and now I have new eyes!! Not to mention the various medications, injections and eye drops. I have created a spread sheet for the two different eye drops.What’s next I wonder?
That being said, I’m okay. Doing just fine. I feel pretty “well” most of the time.
We’re still on a high from the wonderful election results. A word of caution though, stay vigilant. Evil is always lurking. All we can do is keep it in check. Never rest on your laurels. That being said, it’s very exciting to have so many new citizens elected. New energy. New ideas.

We’re coming up in the holidays. That’s always a bit tricky for me. As time passes I seem to be less and less overly emotional. Less overwhelmed. I’m better able to monitor my nervous system activity. This has taken years of practice. Not to mention the long list of teachers. Learning to take the view that there are teachers are all around, learning to hold off and keep quiet, to observe rather than acting out has been a game changer. The shift in perspective has brought a kind of peace. Not taking everything personally is another key ingredient. I don’t remember exactly when I realized that I took everything so personally? More on shadow work another day.
Anyway, I’m just fine. Nothing is wrong. I am extremely grateful to be alive and sober. For the sunshine this morning. For work this week. For this apartment especially. For AA and The Y. For curiosity and possibility. For plenty of food. For the medical professionals that fix my various parts. ☮️🙏🏻🌻
