Sunday walk.

I was out for one of my big walks on the old steel mill property. Around twenty minutes in I noticed two black dogs up ahead and on the other side of the road. I stopped to get a read on them. They seemed to be preoccupied with sniffing around. They were moving away from me following the path south. They were about a block or so in front of me and as I said, on the other side of the road. I decided that it was safe to proceed. Along about where the slip comes in from the lake they crossed over to my side and started moving towards me. Still they seemed not to notice or pay any attention to me so I kept walking. They looked like two siblings of the same littler. Black labs. Young.
All of a sudden they were upon me…right at my legs barking and warning me off. I waved my arms and started making a lot of noise. After a few seconds or minutes they ran off back across the road and south. I was shook up but safe. They were pretty menacing. As I stood there gathering myself to get going back home I had a vivid flashback to the night that I was abducted.Almost the same thing happened. I was walking home. A few blocks ahead of me and on the other side of the street I saw two guys. I determined that they were far enough away and that it was safe for me to proceed. When I got to my building and in the first door of the vestibule they were upon me. Needless to tell the rest.
I have been sort of wide eyed at the revelation that in the scene with the dogs I saved myself. Somehow an odd synchronicity arrived to show me that I am safe. Or something?
