It came in the night. Finally!! Lightning and booming thunder. Then rain, glorious rain.
I slept and slept. Lazed in bed for some time after waking. Now there is coffee and puzzles and reading snips of news and what not.
There are dark heavy clouds. There are birds. The grass already looks green again. It was beginning to have that mid July drought look to it.

Sitting here watching, listening to the world. There’s an occasional bit of a cool breeze. A car passing on the road. A neighbor talking on his phone as he walks through the courtyard. Just about nine o’clock now. I’m ready to move.
I made a list. Ideas for the list come as I work the puzzles. What can I sell? Finish that necklace. Get some quarters for the laundry. Send a reminder to students. Make sure the bills are paid. What should I eat? Can I handle walking?
That might sound odd, “Can I handle walking?”. The question is two fold. One, is my body capable of walking any distance. I’ve had quite the issue with pain, stability and stiffness. I’ll give it a whirl. Take a stick in case. Then, two, can I handle the inevitable garbage strewn across the beach and surrounding area? Last time I walked out there I got so disgusted that I turned around and came home. What’s wrong with people? The world is not our garbage bin!!
So, that’s the news from Rainbow Beach on a Sunday morning in June.
Gratitude abounds. ☮️🙏🏻🦋
