Conversation with myself.

I really miss my New Yorker subscription. The thing that makes me miss it the most is the daily email from the newsletter. I can read the preview but the whole article isn’t available without the subscription. I have been able to open the app and do the crossword which is cheating I suppose? Some glitch in the paywall?

Canceling and not renewing subscriptions is an effort to save and not spend. The New Yorker does not have a senior discount. The NYT does. When I tried to cancel they asked why. When I said it wasn’t in my budget at this time they reduced the monthly rate to $6.

I don’t go to Starbucks or any other coffee shop. Rarely go to a restaurant. No Netflix. No Art Institute. Just Britbox and Acorn TV which together are less than one month of Netflix. So, that’s my limit. Three subscriptions.

When I did get the New Yorker I lamented that I could never keep up. There are still several years worth in a neat pile here. I could probably just go back to them. I’m sure there are whole parts of issues that never got read.

So what am I complaining about? Eye roll emoji here.
