First things first.

I open my eyes and say thank you. I pull the covers back and guide my knees to my chest. Wiggle my toes and straighten and bend my knees. Get up, steady myself. Pee. Click the kettle on. Set up the coffee. Brush my teeth. Pour the water. Change into loungewear. Pour more water. Tie back curtains, open windows. Do some releves while standing at the counter. Pour more water. Fill the sugar bowl.

Coffee made, I come in here and work the puzzles. Always in the same order, WORDLE, mini crossword, spelling bee. 🐝 🐝🐝 Listen to the birds, stare out the window. I love the call of the Blue Jays. I saw one yesterday. Lucky.

Start writing. Only for the past two days I have been writing here instead of in the spiral notebook. Teaching myself a new habit. The jury is out.
